Well there ain’t nothing on earth like a genuine, bona fide, kitschified White Star steamer ship! (What’d I say?) Nova Scotia has been abuzz with rumors of a $300 million Titanic-themed tourist attraction supposedly getting underway soon in Halifax. But The Coast’s Kaija Jussinoja and Matt Stickland did what you’d think was the minimum possible reporting on the company behind the viral LinkedIn post, such as: asking whether it exists. The answer to that question led them on to more questions, which led them to stolen design renderings, a fake United Nations department, an NFT scam of course, and even more as yet unanswered questions.
On second thought, maybe this is more of a Lunenburg idea…
